Spread the Luuuuuuv Award (I now have 3!)

I've been awarded this by Karen over at Gema del Océano. Now I'm supposed to pass it on to 8 others, but I can see from the list on her site that there is a great deal of overlap in our contacts. So I'm tagging the 1st 8 bloggers who think that Love is a Great Spread with either Peanut Butter or with Baloney. ;-P

oh, btw was is the number for the accented "E" that you used? I'm too lazy to look it up. I'll trade you:

one musical note = 9834
two musical notes = 9835

I just wish I could find some for a small movie camera too.

ROTFL..... I do that to sometimes! The mark of a true geek. BTW, I'm curious about the "El Segundo" part...the only think I can think of up in El Segundo is TRW! [I'm a refugee from General Dynamics and SAIC)

GD, Boeing, Mattel, Oracle, buncha airlines, a Chevron refinery, and LAX all reside in beautiful "Downtown Ellllll Segundo" (read it like Johnny Carson talked about "Beautiful Downtown Burbank". What's funny is that El Segundo has the highest gas prices in this part of LA, and Chevron has the highest. I go a half mile east to Inglewood and pay 30-50 cents a gallon less.

Oh, yeah. Oracle. How could I forget THAT particular company sponsored "road trip." Three of us, my fried Cindy and our buddy Kit went up to an Oracle training class for DBA for a couple of days. First niht, Cindy calls down to the hotel desk to ask for decent restaurants in the area. (I can't remember if the hotel was in ES or Marina Del Rey) -- the concierge named off a bunch of the mundane...and Cindy says: "NO, you don't understand...we're on an EXPENSE ACCOUNT." He laughed and we ended up eating at the Cheesecake Factory. I distinctly remember having to note on my expense report that the "Chocolate Jack Daniels" whatever was reimbursable because it wasn't a drink, but the fuzzy wuzzy peach thingie or whatever it was WAS an "Adult beverage" and ergo we couldn't charge the government for it.

Oracle. Love the manuals. "For this error, consult your DBA." Okay, Sparky, I'M THE DBA -- now WHAT DO I DO? -- sheesh.

How exciting gassing up in Inglewood. I'm always tempted to leave the engine running....just in case I have to get out of there in case gunfire breaks out! ;-D Every cloud!

Sounds loverly.

I think my husband and I went to the aerospace places you mention when he was about to graduate college to apply for a job. We spent a week in the area dropping off resumes. Not a fun time. Hubby ended up at Boeing in Seattle and eventually, I worked there too.
