Angela is introducing people to "temporary" patron saints for Liturgical Year 2009, and St. Philip Neri (the Apostle of Rome) has taken up residence in my sidebar. Click on his image for his bio. In his honor I repeat here a great Scripture joke I heard on a comedy special:
The Creationists think Genesis is the greatest thing. Actually, Phil Collins wasn't that good a drummer...

So glad to see you back!
Very cool Picture of St. Neri--did he really have a cat?
Actually its a dog he "Borrowed" from a cardinal
Mike,
Happy belated birthday! If it weren't for that damn Griesgraber Yahoo group (and they all hate me now, after last Thanksgiving - okay, basically Therese, Glenda, and Michelle hate me), I would have forgotten entirely!
It's a Griesgraber trait. They'll cease being mad at you when someone else goofs (must a been a doozy of a reason for them to be PO'd with you!)
Well, it started when Michelle made a comment about how "sickening" it was that they showed military recruitment commercials in movie theaters, because they "lured children" into joining the Armed Forces.
And Kaiser Bill was not even there!
That, and Mark had the temerity to try to make a suggestion to Michelle who was struggling at the time with recreating her mother's gravy recipe, which cuased Glenda to jump up and berate him for "picking on her daughter."
That would be her married, college-educated, adult daughter. Oh, BTW, Michelle is pregnant now.
BTW, Mike, that dog Phil is holding looks suspiciously like a Pomeranian.
Like the type of Pomeranian little boys would use as a bowling ball down lino hallways . . .
I noticed the same thing. There's a "tale told out of school" that Phil "borrowed" the dog from a prominent Cardinal of his era & would have penitents walk the dog.
Happy belated birthday!!!
Happy Birthday - Are you as old as me yet???
Thanks to all who wished me a happy b-day.
Adrienne, I'm an ace short of a fill deck, or it could be said I celebrated my 22nd anniversary of my 29th birthday.
Happy belated Birthday to you! How old are you now?
